Golden Spike National Historical Park cordially invites the public our Annual Railroaders Festival on September 2nd, 2023. This event will celebrate railroad and frontier culture with family games, hand car rides, reenactments of the Last Spike Ceremony, Locomotive Demonstrations and Ranger Programs. The Locomotive Ranger Programs and Demonstrations will take place at 10:00 am, 1:00 pm, and 4:30 pm. A reenactment of the Last Spike Ceremony will take place at 10:45 am and 1:00 pm.
Since 1977 the park has celebrated its annual Railroaders Festival. The event’s original inspiration was celebrating the “good ole days of Promontory” as a railroad town and the unlikely meeting place of the nation’s first Transcontinental railroad. Join us for a fun filled day!
