In-Person Presentation | Park Ranger 101—Why National Parks?

April 16 @ 11:00 am - 12:00 pm

Kick off the National Park Week festivities with retired park superintendent Deb Liggett, a 25-year veteran of the National Park Service who has worked in Colorado, Arizona, Texas, Florida, Minnesota, Wyoming, and Alaska. She served as superintendent at Devils Tower National Monument in Wyoming and at Katmai National Park and Preserve and Lake Clark National Park and Preserve, both in Alaska. She’ll discuss what it’s like to work at the National Park Service and her book, Pilgrim, Paddler, Poet: The Ranger Chronicles—part memoir, part celebration of the natural world, and part insider journalism—which will be available for purchase through The National Parks Store.

This event is free, requires a reservation, and will occur outside on the patio. Please check the weather and dress appropriately.
