National Public Lands Day
Celebrate National Public Lands Day with stewardship!
Help us clean up and beautify the Sundew Trailhead, one of the Preserve's most popular trails. All participants will receive a free 1-day coupon for entry into a participating federal public land within the calendar year.

Work will include:
- Picking up trash and debris in the parking lot and on trail
- Lifting trash bags (less than 40lbs)
- Using trash grabbers
- Painting trailhead structures and fencing
- Trimming overgrown vegetation
- Assisting with other cleanup related tasks
There will be a required safety meeting at each cleanup site before work begins. ASL Interpreters will be available for the duration of the event. Volunteers are encouraged to wear closed-toe shoes, and to bring water, bug spray, and sunscreen. Park staff will supply all necessary equipment (gloves, bags, trash grabbers, painting materials).
