What is the prompt?

This year's prompt invites students to tell the stories of their own experiences in public lands or to reflect on what their lack of access has meant to them:

Tell the story of a moment—big or small—that has shaped your connection to a national park or other public land site. How did that experience influence you; what does this space mean to you; and why is it a place worth sharing, protecting, and supporting?
