Virtual Texas Sea Turtle Cold Stun Training

The Texas Sea Turtle Stranding and Salvage Network (STSSN) is hosting two virtual training sessions for sea turtle cold stun response. Two identical webinar sessions will be held on November 7th and 10th, 2026.

These virtual sessions will cover both response procedures and required documentation to ensure all partners are ready should a cold‑stunning event occur. The sessions are open to the public, program volunteers, and all Texas partners.

This training is a prerequisite for anyone wanting to be eligible to volunteer with the NPS or another organization in Texas during potential winter sea turtle cold stun events.
