Junior Ranger Summer Film Series
Calling all Junior Rangers!
Join Western National Parks this summer at The National Parks Store on Saturday June 13, July 18, and August 8 for our Junior Ranger Summer Film Series, featuring fun-filled mornings of discovery, creativity, and adventure. Explore exciting themes like oceans and coral reefs, dark skies, and beavers through hands-on activities, from 10 to 10:30 AM, followed by a family-friendly film screening.
Bring your favorite blanket and stuffed-animal sidekick, get cozy with free popcorn, and enjoy floor seating during the movie. Plus, kids can earn fun Junior Ranger giveaways along the way!
Recommended for kids ages 6 to 12, but all children and their caregivers are welcome.
Free. Reservation required for each event. Space is limited.

Celebrating Oceans with "Finding Nemo"

Learn, laugh, and dive into a morning full of fun at the first event in our Junior Ranger Summer Film Series. At 10 AM, learn about coral reefs through creative hands-on activities. At 10:30 AM, enjoy a screening of Finding Nemo (2003). Enjoy free popcorn and Junior Ranger gear giveaways!

Exploring the Night Sky with "Elio"

Get ready for a morning of out-of-this-world fun! Young explorers will discover the wonders of dark skies and learn why protecting our night skies is important for people, wildlife, and stargazing adventures alike at the second event in our Junior Ranger Summer Film Series.
At 10 AM, kids can enjoy hands-on activities focused on dark sky parks and outer space exploration. At 10:30 AM, settle in for a screening of the animated film Elio (2025). Enjoy free popcorn and Junior Ranger gear giveaways!

Discover the World of Beavers with “Hoppers”
Saturday, August 8
Learn about animals and laugh out loud when you join us for the third event in our Junior Ranger Summer Film Series. Young explorers will learn how beavers help shape waterways, create homes for wildlife, support healthy ecosystems, and even help reduce the impacts of wildfires.
At 10 AM, kids can enjoy hands-on activities all about beavers and learn about these animals’ incredible engineering skills. Then at 10:30 AM, settle in for a screening of the animated film Hoppers (2026). Enjoy free popcorn and Junior Ranger gear giveaways!
