Atsinna Pueblo Hike

Join a ranger for a guided hike to Atsinna Pueblo, a partially-excavated village site built by ancestral Puebloans in the late 1200s. Gain a glimpse into the everyday lives of the people who lived there centuries ago.

The hike is one mile round-trip and moderately strenous with 240 feet of elevation gain. Bring plenty of water and wear sturdy shoes, a hat, and sun protection.

At Atsinna Pueblo, visitors may choose to return directly to the visitor center accompanied by the ranger, or they can continue across the mesa top on the Headland Trail on their own. Continuing on the Headland Trail adds an additional mile and loops back to the visitor center via Inscription Rock.
