Bird Walk
Join us for Fall Bird Walks at Coronado National Memorial, where the beauty of nature comes alive! On August 30, and every second and fourth Saturday in September and October, we invite bird enthusiasts of all ages to embark on an exploration of our diverse avian population. As the days grow shorter and cooler, migratory birds return, filling our skys and trails with their vibrant colors and melodious songs. This is the perfect time to witness the breathtaking sights and sounds of birds in their natural habitats, as we welcome back various species of sparrows, flycatchers, and warblers, some for the winter and others that may just be flying through.
Meet park staff in front of the visitor center at 8:00am with your binoculars, water, and sun protection. We have some binoculars available to borrow. Families and novice birders welcome! We don't go far, but expect uneven terrain. Walks last just under two hours.
