Pasaron Por Aquí: Spanish Inscriptions at El Morro

El Morro National Monument is a place of many names, languages, and layers of history. Join us for a guided walk of the Inscription Loop Trail as we learn about the Spanish inscriptions left here between 1605 and 1774. We will discuss the history of Spanish language at El Morro and explore how the Spanish influence persists in the place names and complex mix of people and cultures found in New Mexico today.

 

The guided walk will last about 1 hour and is a ½ mile walk on a concrete sidewalk. Please bring comfortable shoes, sun protection, and plenty of water.
