Sunset Hike (West District)

Meet at the Signal Hill Picnic Area 15 minutes before the hike begins. Participants must wear closed-toe shoes and appropriate clothing, carry sufficient water, and bring a headlamp. This approximately 3-mile hike lasts about 3.5 hours and follows mostly flat terrain. Led by a ranger, the hike travels along the Wild Dog and Valley View Trails, highlighting native plants and the natural history of the Sonoran Desert. The hike leads to the Valley View Overlook for sunset viewing before returning with the ranger to the starting point. No reservation is required.
