World-famous ceramicist Jorge Quintana is known for his intricate and elegant Mata Ortiz pottery. Founded by Juan Quezada Celado, this style re-creates centuries-old pottery using traditional techniques. Quintana is a master of the process, from digging the clay to creating the jar to the final firing and painting of the finished work. Join us for artist demonstrations and daily pottery firings at 11 AM and 1 PM (weather permitting). Pottery will be available for purchase, as well as vibrant Zapotec rugs.
