Saguaro National Park
Wasson Peak Day Hike (West District)
Join us for this exceptional hiking experience!
This strenuous 8-mile, 7-hour hike features a 1,700-foot elevation gain, winding switchbacks, and rough, rocky terrain. Portions of the trail are narrow with steep drop-offs, requiring steady footing and comfort with heights.
We will maintain a moderate, steady pace with frequent stops to explore and discuss the natural history of the Tucson Mountains. At the summit, participants will enjoy a 30-minute rest break at Wasson Peak, the highest point in Saguaro National Park’s West District, offering panoramic views of the Sonoran Desert.
Reservations are required, so please visit or call the Red Hills Visitor Center.
