Astronomy Program
Great Basin National Park offers astronomy programs in the park at the Astronomy Amphitheater each week, Thursday through Sunday, during the summer and fall. Programs consist of a 30 minute Ranger Presentation followed by roughly 1 hour and 30 minutes of telescope viewing (weather permitting).
Program topics vary by ranger but will always be centered on astronomy, space, or the night sky.
Attendance to this program is limited by the number of available parking spaces. Arrive early, especially on busy holiday weekends.
