Homeschool Day & 4th Graders Day

Calling All 4th Graders & 10-Year-Old Homeschool Students!

Join Golden Spike National Historical Park for a day of fun and learning on Friday, September 30th.
 
Explore history with Park Rangers through live locomotive demonstrations, discover the story behind the building of the transcontinental railroad, and experience Golden Spike NHP alongside other homeschool families.
 
Drop in anytime between 9:30 AM and 2:30 PM. Students and their families will rotate through a variety of engaging activity stations.

  • 9:30 am - Homeschool Day begins; Activities open throughout the park
  • 10:00 am - Locomotive Demonstration
  • 10:30 am - Locomotive Demonstration
  • 11:30 am - Charlie Brown Transcontinental Railroad movie
  • 1:00 pm - Locomotive Demonstration
  • 2:00 pm - Charlie Brown Transcontinental Railroad movie
  • 2:30 pm - Homeschool Day concludes
