
Aztec Ruins National Monument
Indigenous Cultural Arts Festival
On Saturday, September 13, Aztec Ruins National Monument will host the 2025 Indigenous Cultural Arts Festival starting at 10am. This free, family-friendly event will feature diverse artists from various Southwest nations. Artists will be demonstrating their techniques and selling their original creations. From contemporary to traditional, artists will feature pottery, jewelry, basketry, and more. This event will also feature dances throughout the day from the MaaTuu Dance Group of the Santa Clara Pueblo, Champion Hoop Dancer JaiP'o Harvier from the Pueblo of Pojoaque, and The Next Generation Dancers of the Acoma Pueblo. This event will also feature a cooking demonstration from Diné cook book author Alana Yazzie, and a storytelling presentation from Eldrena Douma of the Hopi Tribe and Laguna Pueblo.
