Organ Pipe Cactus National Monument boasts some of the darkest skies in the continental United States; no visit to the monument would be complete without experiencing the incredible natural cultural resource that is our night sky.

We invite you to join our astronomy ranger for an exploration of this national treasure. There will be an interpretive program at the Twin Peaks Amphitheater followed by a telescope viewing, weather permitting.

Red-light flashlights are preferred but not required. The Sonoran Desert can drop below 30F (-1C) during the winter months; for an optimal experience, warm layers are recommended.
