Stars over the Gila

Join park rangers beneath the dark skies of the Gila for an evening of stargazing and discovery. Using telescopes, we’ll explore distant planets, star clusters, and the glowing band of the Milky Way stretching across one of the darkest night skies in New Mexico.

No experience is needed, and all ages are welcome. Bring a jacket or blanket for the cool mountain evenings, and let the stars above the Gila inspire your sense of wonder. Due to the presence of telescopes please do not bring any pets.
