Supernova Hike

Join us for a special ranger-guided hike on our longest backcountry trail! The hike will begin at the Peñasco Blanco trailhead (at the Pueblo del Arroyo parking lot) at 9:00am. Be prepared for the heat and a long hike - bring sunscreen, a hat, comfortable clothes, water, and food. You will visit three great houses (Kin Kletso, Casa Chiquita, and Peñasco Blanco) and see petroglyphs and pictographs along the way. The ranger-guided portion will end at Peñasco Blanco; you will be able to walk back to the trailhead on your own and at your own pace. The total length of this trail is about 7.5 miles (12 km) roundtrip, with an elevation gain of 500 ft (150 m). There is no registration required - join us on this special backcountry hike in celebration of the start of National Park Week!
