Arizona is the lightning photography capital of the United States. Ronald L. Holle, one of the authors of the recently published book Flashes of Brilliance: The Science and Wonder of Arizona Lightning, will review the impacts of one of nature’s most powerful weather phenomena. We will also review the invention of real-time ground-based lightning detection, developed at the University of Arizona, a technology now applied worldwide.
Books will be available for purchase and signing.
