Walnut Canyon National Monument offers a glimpse into the lives of the ancestral Puebloans who built cliff dwellings along the steep canyon walls over seven hundred years ago. Located near Flagstaff, Arizona, this breathtaking site features ancient homes tucked into natural rock alcoves, surrounded by towering ponderosa pines and rugged canyon landscapes. Visitors can hike down into the canyon to walk among the ruins, marvel at the stunning scenery, and learn about the ingenuity of the people who once thrived in this challenging environment. Walnut Canyon is a place of both natural beauty and deep cultural history.
