Rising from the West Texas desert, Guadalupe Mountains National Park is home to the highest peak in Texas and one of the best-preserved fossilized reef systems in the world. This rugged and remote park offers breathtaking mountain vistas, deep canyons, and diverse ecosystems ranging from desert lowlands to lush forests. Hikers can tackle the challenging trek to Guadalupe Peak, explore the stunning McKittrick Canyon, or discover the history of the region at the Frijole Ranch Museum.

Bird Walk at McKittrick Canyon

May 17 8:30 am – 12:00 pm

Join park volunteer Jonathan for a guided bird walk along the McKittrick Canyon Trail! This will be a moderate walk and will last approximately 3 and 1/2 hours. This walk is limited to the first 8 participants.
